Transforming Naval Maintenance and Logistics
Naval vessels often face challenges maintaining operational readiness when critical electronics fail at sea. Researchers at APL developed an artificial intelligence- and augmented reality-enabled system to guide non-experts through complex electronic repairs without direct technical support. Combining real-time diagnostics with interactive visual guidance, the system enables end-to-end electronics troubleshooting and repair, offering a scalable solution to enhance mission resilience and agility in remote or resource-constrained environments.
