The ASPIRE application period for 2026 will open on January 1, 2026. Please stay tuned for application process updates this December.
- High school junior or senior during program participation (applicants can be rising juniors or seniors)
- At least 15 years of age by June 1
- U.S. citizenship (green card holders are not eligible)
- Minimum 2.8 GPA
- Reliable, committed transportation to APL throughout the program (APL is not accessible by public transit)
- No criminal record
- Permanent residence in one of the following Maryland counties: Anne Arundel, Baltimore (County or City), Carroll, Frederick, Howard, Montgomery, Prince George’s; one of the following Virginia counties/cities: Alexandria, Arlington, or Fairfax; or the District of Columbia
- Commitment to be on-site 30–40 hours per week for the duration of the program
Students must be committed to the program and its substantial time and attendance requirements. If students cannot meet these requirements, they will be dismissed from the program.
