Rengaswamy Srinivasan

Dr. Rengaswamy Srinivasan is a principal staff scientist, a lithium batteries safety expert, and an innovator with a wide range of expertise in electrochemical science and engineering. He is an electrochemist by training, known for his work in electrochemical power sources, power-energy- thermal management, corrosion, and microelectrochemical sensors. His contributions include work on thermal management in lithium batteries, innovative battery management systems for thermal and electrical safety, and additively manufactured metals with a focus on mitigating surface and subsurface corrosion. Dr. Srinivasan is a member of the Battery Safety Council and National Transportation Safety Board and is co-chair of the AIAA committee on safety.
