Barton Paulhamus

Dr. Bart Paulhamus is a principal staff researcher and chief of APL’s Intelligent Systems Center. The goal of the center is to conduct pioneering research with mission intent. Recognizing that intelligent systems is multidisciplinary, the center tackles the research challenges underlying intelligent systems by combining artificial intelligence, neuroscience, and robotics. Dr. Paulhamus’s technical background is in artificial intelligence, and he has over 20 years of experience applying advanced algorithms to technical challenges. In 2016, he co-led the establishment of the Intelligent Systems Center.
