Andrea C. Timm

Dr. Andrea C. Timm is a senior staff scientist whose research focuses on using microfluidics as an interface to study biological systems. Most of her work involves developing in vitro methods to study and manipulate microbiome systems, including tissue engineering for microbiome-on-a-chip studies and developing microbial communities and synthetic ecosystems to perform specific functions. Additional areas of expertise include microfabrication and virology.
