Dr. Adrian Podpirka is a senior staff scientist whose research focuses on materials and devices for optics and electronics as well as fundamental understanding of materials in extreme environments. His recent work includes molecular beam epitaxy of chalcogenide materials, photodetection in Weyl semimetals, thermo-electrochemical conversion devices, and bonding mechanisms in extreme environments. His areas of expertise include material synthesis via physical vapor deposition, nano- and microfabrication, and sensor design.
