Bio
BioYing Zou studies the dynamic space environment surrounding Earth and how activity from the Sun disturbs the magnetosphere, ionosphere, and thermosphere. Her research spans magnetic reconnection at the magnetopause, auroras and auroral electrojet in the ionosphere, magnetic disturbances at the ground, and neutral wind circulation in the thermosphere. Her work combines observations from space- and ground-based instruments, such as all-sky cameras, radars, magnetometers, and Fabry–Pérot interferometers, to study the various multiscale coupling processes in geospace.
