BioDrew Aumick is a member of APL’s National Security Analysis Department and the lead software architect and artificial intelligence (AI) subject-matter expert for generative wargaming at the Lab. He integrates bleeding-edge AI tools and frameworks while following software engineering best practices to create robust, extensible, and adaptable software products. He is responsible for strategically integrating AI tools and frameworks to meet diverse sponsor requirements and create software products that can be applied across a spectrum of scenarios. Before joining APL, Aumick spent 13 years as a software engineer, data scientist, and AI researcher working in tandem with the National Security Agency (NSA) and U.S. Cyber Command. He earned his B.S. in applied mathematics with a minor in computer science from the State University of New York at Oswego and an M.S. in applied mathematics from University of Massachusetts Amherst.
