BioAnn E. Kedia is the chief communications officer and head of the Communications Department at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL), leading a team of communications professionals and creatives to elevate the impact of the Laboratory’s innovations for the nation and the world. Prior to her appointment, Ms. Kedia served as managing executive for the Communications Department and as a program manager for the Laboratory’s innovation program. In that role, she led APL-wide initiatives enabling innovation and creativity that have produced potentially game-changing advances for our nation. Prior to joining APL in 2009, Ms. Kedia was a vice president at T. Rowe Price, leading an organization responsible for technology implementations and operational process reengineering. She earned a B.S. in chemical engineering from Cornell University and an M.S. in technical management from Johns Hopkins University, where she serves on the Program Committee for Engineering Management at the Whiting School of Engineering.
