Dr. Brock Wester is a principal staff engineer whose research areas include connectomics; brain–computer and neural interfaces; intelligent systems; virtual-, augmented-, and mixed-reality environments; prosthetics; traumatic brain injury; blast injury; and microelectromechanical systems microfabrication and packaging. Dr. Wester is vice chair of the Johns Hopkins Engineering for Professionals Applied Biomedical Engineering program and teaches courses in neuroengineering and instrumentation. Additional areas of expertise include computational neuroscience and neural modeling, human-machine teaming and interaction, and intelligent systems.
