Megan Kratochwill

Megan L. Kratochwill is the operations executive for the Asymmetric Operations Sector at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL). She provides executive leadership and management of the business and operations functions in the sector, encompassing the Cyber Operations, Special Operations, and Global Health mission areas. She is senior advisor to the sector head in the management of department resources as the sector has more than tripled in size from roughly 500 to 1,600 staff. Mrs. Kratochwill serves on APL’s Operations Forum and is also a long-standing executive member of the Laboratory’s Long-Range Site Development team. She has also been appointed to APL’s prestigious Principal Professional Staff. Previously, Mrs. Kratochwill served APL as chief of staff of the Power Projection Systems Department. Since joining the Laboratory in 1998, she has served in multiple supervisory and managerial roles. Prior to joining APL, Mrs. Kratochwill was employed by the General Electric Company, where she provided financial management for Department of Defense programs. Mrs. Kratochwill earned a B.S. in information systems from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
