Sharon Warner

Sharon Warner is the managing executive of the Business, Construction, and Facilities Department (BCFD) at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL). In this role, she provides executive leadership and management for enterprise business services such as finance and accounting, prime contracting, procurement, material distribution, facilities maintenance and renovation, and construction functions required to operate the Laboratory. She joined the Laboratory in 1990 and performed a variety of tasks in the Budget Office, including implementing technology solutions to various manual activities. Prior to her current appointment, she served in different roles, including as supervisor of the Business Operations Group in the Air Defense Services Department (now the Air and Missile Defense Sector), supervisor of the Naval Sea Systems Command contract, and supervisor of procurement. Ms. Warner has over 30 years of progressive experience conducting and managing all business aspects of government contracting with an emphasis on leading and developing people. She also has significant experience in the development of business systems. Ms. Warner earned a B.A. in business administration from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland and an M.B.A. from Loyola College. She is also a graduate of Leadership Howard County.
