Our hyper-connected world, comprised of myriad networks – both machine and human – has brought us to the precipice of a fundamental revolution and redefinition of the human experience and our socio-political and military world order. According Dr. Hasib, failure of executives to grasp this pivotal change, and their concomitant failure to tailor organizational and business strategy to the new reality, is the primary cause of organizational malaise and the massive cybersecurity breaches we have experienced.
Dr. Mansur Hasib will share the key lessons from his book Cybersecurity Leadership: Powering the Modern Organization. Dr. Hasib explains the evolution of academic cybersecurity models from 1991 and shares his own contributions to the models. He explains why cybersecurity should be viewed as people powered perpetual innovation. Though technology and policy are required, people are the most important aspect of any organizational digital strategy. For any organization, cybersecurity can be a key mission driver powered by people who are perpetually innovating.
