"An Overview of the
Ada Semantic Interface Specification (ASIS)"

This talk is a high level overview of ASIS. ASIS is a set of Ada packages, the spec of which is open and published by Ada compiler vendors that supply and interface to the semantics of Ada programs. Formally speaking, ASIS is an interface between an Ada environment as defined by ISO/IEC 8652:1995 (Ada Reference Manual) and any tool requiring information from this environment. Since it is a published interface and is supported by multiple Ada vendors, the interface is independent (as is possible) from the compiler implementation.
