"CDs and other Public Resources"


There are literally hundreds of "artifacts" available to the practicing software engineer and Ada programmer. Some of the major classes of those objects are reusable software components, references manuals, official Government directives, language design papers, compilers and software development tools.

The discussion will survey the range of those objects and review some of particular interest to the SIGAda community.

The emphasis will be on the recent compact disk (CD) from Walnut Creek entitled "Ada and Software Engineering," "ASE." We will provide a guided tour of this information, highlighting the products that help you in your work and play.

The two discs are available for sale at our cost of $10, in a fully-labelled jewel box. But you may already have a copy, for they came with the Spring '99 issue of "Ada Letters". They were also given to the attendees at the SIGAda '98 Conference in Washington, D.C., in November '98. The former came without a jewel box. For $10, you can have a box.
