Stephen Leake graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1980 with a Bachelor's in Physics, and got a Masters in Physics from University of Maryland at College Park in 1982. He worked in robotics at NIST (then NBS) until 1990, when he moved to NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, working on the space station robot program. That was his first experience with Ada, and he has been hooked ever since. Recently he has been building satellite simulators for Goddard, used in testing flight software and hardware.
