APL's invention disclosure rate is 3 new inventions per week for an average of 150 new inventions per year.
 
How many patent applications does APL file per year?
In Fiscal Year 2008, the Lab's Office of Patent Counsel filed 77 patent applications including 59 provisional patent applications. This rate is expected to continue. The Lab has more than 200 issued patents.
