APL Staff Honor WWII Veterans

For the second year in a row, APL staff proudly volunteered to escort World War II veterans from the Huntsville, AL, area during a tour of memorials created in their honor. The tour was made possible by the Tennessee Valley chapter of Honor Flight, a volunteer organization that flies WWII veterans to the nation's capital free of charge to spend a day visiting the monuments. APL volunteers serve as "guardians," greeting veterans upon their arrival and staying with their assigned veterans during the day's activities.
