The panel included S. Berman, a mechanical engineer who joined APL’s Space Department right after college; W. Freeman, a former ATLAS scholar and current member of the Global Engagement Department; D. Proffen, a former summer intern who became a commercial pilot before returning to APL’s Air and Missile Defense Department; T. Reid, a former intern who is now a systems engineer in AMDD; and K. Roncal, an APL GEM Fellow who received her master’s degree in electrical engineering before joining the National Security Technology Department.
