Johns Hopkins APL Begins Construction on New Warehouse Facility

The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory has started construction of a new warehouse facility on its main campus in Laurel, Maryland.

The 27,000-square-foot building — set for completion in May 2017 — will be used primarily for long-term storage. Lewis Contractors of Owings Mills, Maryland, is the lead contractor on the $7.5-million project, which also includes demolition of older buildings and relocation of utilities.
