Particle Population in Saturn's Magnetosphere

Historic Test Off Hawaii’s Coast

A Standard Missile 3 (SM-3) is launched from the Japanese AEGIS Destroyer JS Kongo enroute to an intercept of a target missile launched from the Pacific Missile Range Facility, Kauai, Hawaii December 17, 2007. FTM-1 was the first time that a Japanese ship was designated to launch the interceptor missile, a major milestone in the growing cooperation between Japan and the U.S.
