2007 Scholarship Winners
Maryland MESA Scholarships
In June of 1992, APL’s Theodore
Habarth was the recipient of the Reginald H. Jones Distinguished Service
Award given each year by the National Action Council for Minorities
in Engineering, Inc. (NACME). This award carried with it a prize of
$10,000 that, at Mr. Habarth’s request, was used to establish
the Maryland MESA Scholarship Fund. Each year, two Maryland MESA seniors
who have been accepted by an accredited college or university with
a major in mathematics, science, or engineering, are selected for
a one-year, portable, undergraduate scholarship of $1000, which is
renewable for three additional years. The winner of the Maryland
MESA Scholarship is:

Maishan S. Nelson Memorial
Scholarship
Since 1990, the Scholarship Program of the Chesapeake Bay Roost of
the Association of Old Crows has provided financial assistance to
deserving Maryland MESA high school graduates pursuing careers in
electrical engineering, physics, and related fields. The winner of
the Maishan S. Nelson Memorial Scholarship is:

Baltimore County Scholarships
Maryland MESA Scholarships are also given to selected students residing in Baltimore County and pursuing careers in electrical engineering, physics, and related fields. the amount of these awards varies from year to year. This year, one $2,000 award will be given. The winner
of the Baltimore County Scholarships is:
