APL Recreation Office
The Recreation Office
plays a major role in supporting staff members with services to make
work days a little easier. The heart of that operation is the "company
store," known by all as APLrinc ("apple-rink").
The store sells gifts and party goods, sundries, candy, and APL logo
items (T-shirts, caps, mugs, etc.).
In addition to sponsoring clubs and on-site shopping, the Recreation Office provides the following:
- Personal fax service
- Film developing
- Notary Public
- Recreation library (magazines, books, etc.)
- Discount entertainment tickets (theme parks,
movie theaters, etc.) - Cell phone service-provider options
During the year, the Recreation Office sponsors several family-oriented events, including:
- Family picnic at a major theme park
- Harvestfest and Craft Fair
- Children's Fishing Derby
- December Winter Festival
- Ice Cream Social
