As a division of Johns Hopkins, education is an important part of APL’s mission. The APL Education Center comprises our on-site JHU Whiting School of Engineering graduate programs. Classes are open to both APL staff and members of the community at large.  APL initiatives support education at all levels to encourage future engineers and scientists. We offer college summer internships, innovative minority programs, mentoring, tours, community outreach, and educational materials. Many dedicated staff members share their talents through school presentations, volunteering, or developing scientific products for the public.
