Warfare Analysis

Facilities

The National Security Analysis Department has unique analysis, modeling, and simulation facilities that are applied in the warfare analysis process.  The Warfare Analysis Laboratory (WAL) provides a forum for military operators, systems engineers, and threat specialists to analyze new advanced concepts for meeting future operational needs.  The facility allows participants having a wide range of operational and technical expertise to examine and evaluate requirements for meeting future needs and potential alternatives for meeting those needs.  The WAL features large-screen, interactive computer displays, a broad range of mission area, force, and theater-level models and simulations, a group decision support system, and access to extensive intelligence and other databases.  The capabilities facilitate the collaborative approach to systems analysis and assessment employed by NSAD.
