Concepts for Natural Systems Exploitation

Research and Development projects that focus on developing new components and processes that take advantage of the efficiency and simplicity of natural systems.

Projects include the study and use of "insect" sentinels to collect chemical and biological pathogens, biomemetics, algorithms related to swarming behaviors, robotics, bioelectronics, and the way natural systems process information and to process information from a biomolecular basis vs. silicon-based systems.
