Future support to USJFCOM & Way Ahead

JHU/APL is dedicated to assisting USJFCOM in the expansion of their roles and missions, such as Joint Command and Control Capability Portfolio Management (JC2 CPM).  Issues such as JC2 Data Strategy/Standards; and net-centricity are well suited for the Lab's capabilities.  JHU/APL future support includes:

  • Expand JHU/APL’s role as trusted Technical Partner to USJFCOM in thought leadership, systems engineering, prototype development, design and execution of experimentation and distributed simulation.
  • Support USJFCOM through collaboration and horizontal integration of concepts and capabilities based on work with other DoD sponsors (e.g., U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM), Assistant Secretary of Defense Networks and Information Integration (ASD-NII), etc.)
  • Leverage JHU/APL's experience in teaming with other Labs (e.g., Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDCs), University Affiliated Research Centers (UARCs), Defense Labs, and Industry to support USJFCOM requirements and critical challenges.

JHU/APL Support to USJFCOM

JHU/APL has been supporting USFCOM since 2000, primarily as the Military Utility Assessment (MUA) Agent for Advanced Concept Technology Demonstrations / Joint Capability Technology Demonstration (ACTDs/JCTDs).  Our current work for USJFCOM includes:
