Dr. James J. Schneider
Professor of Theory
School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS)

Dr. Schneider, as a professor at SAMS, has had direct influence on several generations of Army planners. He is the author of The Structure of Strategic Revolution: Total War and the Roots of the Soviet Warfare State in which he reviewed theoretical foundations of the Soviet concept of "total war" by analyzing the writings of Russian military theorists, including A.A. Svechin, "the Red Clausewitz."

Dr. Schneider has also authored several professional journal articles including:
