Dr. Nicholas Beser and Bernie Kluga  head the TASS Telescope team. For more information follow the link to the The Amateur Sky Survey (TASS) .  Click on the JHU/APL TASS Observatory to see the status of the Observatory, and the latest observations.

Nick Beser maintains the APL Amateur Astronomy Club Web Page and the APL TASS Web Page.

The Maryland Space Grand Observatory in Baltimore as part of the Maryland Space Grant Consortium of JHU Bloomberg Center Building. The Morris Offit Telescope has been moved to Apache Point New Mexico. APL Astronomy Club members have permission, after training to use the new telescope after it is delivered this coming spring.

The National Capital Astronomers (NCA) is a non-profit, membership supported, volunteer run, public-service corporation dedicated to advancing space technology, astronomy, and related sciences through information, participation, and inspiration, via research, lectures and presentations, publications, expeditions, tours, public interpretation, and education. NCA is the astronomy affiliate of the Washington Academy of Sciences.

The Baltimore Astronomical Society was founded on November 30, 1881. The Society decided to join the Maryland Academy of Sciences in May, 1900, as the Academy's Department of Astronomy so that, among other things, Society members could qualify for a reduced railroad fare to view the total eclipse of the sun on May 28, 1900, at Rocky Mount, North Carolina. The Westminster Astronomical Society meets at 7:30 p.m. on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at Westminster's Bear Branch Nature Center. The only exception is December when the regular meeting night is used for the annual WAS Holiday Banquet. The meetings are free and open to the public.
